MY MESSAGE....

Our family is witnessing first hand what this disease does to a person. Loved ones can't do a thing as they watch their loved one "disappear" a little bit each day right in front of their eyes but we can help raise funds to find a cure, hopefully sooner than later.

Help support research and care in Alzheimer's by sponsoring me in the Scotiabank Pro-Am Hockey Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament will go towards the Gordie and Colleen Howe Fund for Alzheimer's, which will provide valuable funding for dementia research. This one-of-a-kind event allows everyday hockey enthusiasts to team up with former NHL greats in the battle against Alzheimer's. Together, we will "stick it to Alzheimer's!" THANK you!

On April 26, 2009, Russ joined the Team 1260 Astral Media Radio team for the Kidney Foundation "Give the Gift of Life" Fun Run & Walk held at Rundle Park.  On June 24, 2009, The Kidney Foundation announced that the success of this event remarkably raised over $60,000.   These funds will be very instrumental in helping the Kidney Foundation fulfill its commitment to improving the health and quality of life for people affected by kidney disease.
